"Steve Richmond (1941-2009), a Santa Monica-based poet highly praised as a regular contributor to Marvin Malone's Wormword Review poetry journal and countless other small press publications, was a major supporter and promoter of Charles Bukowski and his work. Richmond published Bukowski under his Earth Rose imprint and also recorded Bukowski's infamous '90 Minutes In Hell' Record Album.

Although known for his association and close friendship with Bukowski, Richmond was indeed a major poet of the mimeo revolution who expressed himself on his typewriter while listening to traditional Japanese gagaku music--therefore, Richmond titled 99% of his poems 'Gagaku.'

This book is necessary reading for anyone who wants to get to know another one of Marvin Malone's 'Boys,' or frequent contributors to The Wormwood Review over the years, of which there were three: Charles Bukowski, Gerald Locklin, and Steve Richmond."
